Preparing competent health practitioners for Kenya's healthcare system.

The School of Health Sciences offers diploma and certificate programmes in nursing, perioperative theatre technology, clinical medicine, and health services support. Training combines classroom instruction with skills-laboratory simulation and supervised clinical attachment in hospitals and community health facilities.

Diploma in Nursing

Training competent nurses for ward-based and community health service roles, combining skills-laboratory practice with supervised clinical attachment.

Perioperative theatre technology

Diploma and certificate pathways covering sterile technique, instrument management, and circulating and scrub duties.

Diploma in Clinical Medicine

Clinical assessment, diagnosis support, and patient management training for primary and secondary care settings.

Health services support

Certificate training for support roles in hospital wards, clinics, and health facility operations.

Simulation before patient contact

Nursing skills laboratory

Equipped with hospital beds, manikins, and clinical trolley sets for practising vital signs, injections, wound care, and patient handling.

Clinical demonstration rooms

Spaces for supervised practice of patient assessment, care procedures, and clinical documentation before hospital attachment.

Theatre demonstration room

A controlled environment for learning gowning, gloving, instrument identification, and sterile field preparation.

Classes run Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Trainees report every first week of the month. Please bring the documents listed in our joining instructions, complete registration, and follow the official fee payment channels only — Family Bank or Lipa Na M-PESA Paybill 830669.

We provide hostel beds, overalls, and mattresses where applicable. Special diets require a medical certificate. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. We wish you a successful training period.

What programmes are available?

The school offers diplomas in nursing, perioperative theatre technology, and clinical medicine, as well as certificates in perioperative theatre technology and health services support.

What are the minimum entry requirements for diploma programmes?

KCSE mean grade C (plain) or equivalent, with Biology and Chemistry at C (plain) or above for nursing and clinical medicine tracks.

Where are clinical attachments conducted?

Students are placed in county hospitals and community health facilities for supervised clinical practice.

Is professional registration included?

Graduates must sit the relevant professional licensing examinations as required by Kenyan regulatory bodies.
